Baptism Requirements
1. The godparents must be married through the Catholic Church or completely single (not living with anyone), be practicing Catholics and have the Sacraments of Baptism, First Communion, and Confirmation.
2. Parents or godparents must be registered in this parish.
3. Only two godparents are allowed per child (man & woman) but only one is required.
4. Children should be registered in the office one month in advance of the month you wish to baptize. The $50 dollar donation fee must be paid on the day of registration.
5. Parents and godparents must attend one two hour pre-baptism classes. If you do not fulfill this requirement, you cannot baptize. If anyone takes the class at another church, please bring a letter from that church.
6. After you have completed the pre-baptism class you must bring the child’s birth certificate and the church marriage certificates of both the parents and the godparents to the office.
7. Your date for baptism will only be given to you in the office once you have completed the class and you have brought in all of the paperwork. If you don’t go through these steps and decide to just show up, you will not allowed to baptize and be asked to finish these first.
8. Please do not bring children to the pre-baptism classes.
9. If you cannot make it to the class or change the day of the baptism please call the office and let them know.
10. If you are not baptizing here, there is a $50 dollar donation for the class and certificate.
11. Punctuality is very important, both for the class and on the day of baptism, if you arrive late you will not be allowed to baptize.
12. Please pick up your baptism certificate at the office after the ceremony.
REQUISITOS PARA EL BAUTISMO
1. Los padrinos deben ser casados por la Iglesia o estar completamente solteros, sin vivir con nadie, ser Católicos practicantes y tener los Sacramentos de Bautismo, Primera Comunión, y Confirmación.
2. Los padres o padrinos deben estar registrados en la parroquia.
3. Solo habrá dos padrinos por cada niño (hombre y mujer) pero solo se requiere uno.
4. Registraran a los niños un mes antes en la oficina del mes que quieren bautizar. La donación de $50 se paga el día del registro.
5. Deberán asistir a dos charlas de formación, los padres y padrinos. Las personas que no cumplan con este requisito, no podrán bautizar a sus niños.
6. Después de completar las platicas, deben presentar una copia del acta de nacimiento del niño y copia del acta de matrimonio de la Iglesia de los padres y padrinos.
7. La fecha para el bautizo se le dará solamente en la oficina después de que haya completado las dos pláticas y haga entregado todos los documentos necesarios.
8. No traer niños durante las sesiones de pláticas pre-bautismales.
9. Puntualidad es importante, tanto en las pláticas como en el día del bautizo, los que no lleguen a tiempo no pueden bautizar.
10. En caso de no poder venir, por favor llame a la oficina para avisar.
11. Si no va a bautizar aquí y requiere comprobante, debe registrase en la oficina y dar una donación de $50 dls.
12. Por favor, recoja sus certificados de bautismo en la oficina despues de la ceremonia.
