Father Michael J. O'Connell came to St. Joseph and opened Our Lady of Fatima School with the assistance of the Sisters of Mercy of Auburn. The original
Our Lady of Fatima Convent was built in 1955. The Sisters of Mercy were the teachers of Our Lady of Fatima School and Sister Finian was the First Principal. In 1960, the present hall was built at Our Lady of Fatima School and the original church was torn down. Over the years, structures have been taken down as well as additions added to make up the looks of our present
